Davina Jackson (by Marco Bok).

Davina Jackson is a writer, editor, curator and policy strategist publishing on multi-disciplinary design advances in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Born in New Zealand, based in Sydney and working internationally, she was strategy director for the three Smart Light festivals in Sydney and Singapore (2009-2012), and curator of the Spaceship Earth exhibition at Customs House (2014). SuperLux is her third book for publishers Thames & Hudson in London, where she also is a visiting research fellow with the computing department at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Mike Day.

Mike Day leads the Masters of Lighting Design course at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). His international architecture, interiors and lighting design practices have completed over 200 projects in 11 countries and he has designed exhibitions, events, plays, operas and films in England, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Currently lighting director for the annual Beams festivals in Chippendale, his recent projects include the (sm)art light sydney exhibition of 14 site-specific lightworks at UTS in 2009, and the Wagnerlicht travelling exhibition, involving 20 light and sound artists, visited by 40,000 people in Australia and Germany during the 2013 Wagner Bicentenary.
